I'm getting an error message when I try to log into the library databases from off campus. What should I do?

Answer

Occasionally, the remote log-in goes down. If you receive an error message, we ask that you send the details to our libraries team through email or the library chat so that we can try to have it fixed as soon as possible. The sooner we are aware of a problem, the faster it can be solved. In the meantime, there are a few things that you can do while remote access is not working:

  1. Contact the libraries' team through email or our chat service so that we can help you find what you're looking for. Often we are still able to access items, and can email them to you while we wait for the issue to be resolved.
  2. If it's not urgent, wait and try again in a little while. These issues are often fixed reasonably quickly.
  3. If your campus library is open, stop in to use the databases from a library computer on-campus. Feel free to contact the library to make sure that this is working before you come in.
